The Outlet 40 Stormwater Upgrade is a key enabling project within the RiverLink flood protection programme. The works involve replacing a critical stormwater outlet beneath the existing stopbank at Melling Road, requiring staged construction, temporary flood protection measures, over-pumping and dewatering systems, and careful management of live utility services and flood protection assets.

Holmwoods supported Greater Wellington Regional Council through development of the contract strategy, construction methodology, procurement process and contract negotiations. We continue to provide project management and commercial oversight during delivery, helping manage programme constraints, stakeholder interfaces and project risks to ensure successful delivery of this critical piece of infrastructure.
